Terms and Conditions
Please read the following Terms and Conditions for working with AlyKat's Bakery LLC (also referred to as AlyKat's Bakery).
By booking an order, you agree to the Terms and Conditions outlined below.

PAYMENTS:
Pre-Sales: Full payment is due at the time of order placement.
Custom Orders: Full payment is due by the due date that is listed on your invoice. Failure to pay the balance by the designated due date on your invoice will result in the order being canceled.
All Orders Retainer:
50% of the balance is held as a retainer for the bakery to hold your spot on our schedule and to start gathering resources. This 50% retainer is not refundable if the order is cancelled within 2 weeks (14 days) of the agreed upon pick-up/delivery date, except in severe circumstances designated by AlyKat’s Bakery, as we begin the research and supply gathering for your order as soon as payment is received. If an order is cancelled 2 weeks (14 days) or more prior to the agreed upon date, the balance may be refunded in full. If you have any issues with making a payment, please reach out to payments@alykatsbakery.com.
Our decorated cookies take multiple days to complete; if a payment is not made on time, we cannot guarantee the same date for a new order to be accepted.
ORDER PICK UP/DELIVERY & CANCELLATIONS:
Pick up/delivery dates and times will be agreed upon prior to the day of pick up/delivery and are fixed. We do not offer shipping per Minnesota Cottage Food Law. Pre-Sales are pick-up only. The Pre-Sale pick-up date and time will be selected at the time of your order placement, and the pick up address will be disclosed after payment is received. For Custom Orders, the pick-up or delivery date, time, and address will be determined during the inquiry process. Being late or not showing up to pick up your order will result in the pick-up date being moved to the following business day at a time and location that is best convenient for the baker.
Completed orders will only be held for 48 hours after their pick-up date; after this time has passed, your order will be donated/disposed of with no option for refund/credit.
Refunds/store credits due to cancellations are at the discretion of the baker.
Cancellations made 72 hours or less from the pick up date are not subject to any store credits or refunds as your order has physically been started by this time.
CARE & HANDLING:
AlyKat’s Bakery is not responsible for any damage to the order after it has been received by the client or delivered to a pre-designated location. Be sure to clear a flat surface in your vehicle to place the box(es) on when transporting them, do not stack anything heavy in top of the cookies, and keep them away from the heater and refrigerator; freezer is okay if stored in an air-tight container. Cookies are fragile, and it is important to handle them with care. You will receive a cookie care card with your order, and you can also refer to our Cookie Care Guidelines page.
Customers have 48 hours from time of pick up or delivery to file a complaint for us to review. Photographic proof and return of the full set of cookies for investigation are required before any refund or store credit can be issued.
ALLERGY DISCLAIMER:
It is the responsibility of the client to notify AlyKat's Bakery if someone in your party has an allergy.
We can bake items with allergen-free ingredients to attempt to accommodate allergies or sensitivities; however, being a home bakery, AlyKat's Bakery CANNOT guarantee that cross-contamination will not occur. If an allergy is severe, the baker may recommend another bakery to accommodate the need.
We utilize a kitchen that houses many types of ingredients including but not limited to all 9 of the major allergens: Dairy, Eggs, Fish, Shellfish, Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Wheat, Soy, and Sesame.
We adhere to all Minnesota Cottage Food Producer Laws and are registered with the State of Minnesota (#20258064). Pets are on the premises but not allowed in the baking or decorating areas. We maintain strict cleaning procedures. If you have a severe pet allergy, the baker may recommend another bakery to accommodate the need.
DESIGN VARIATIONS:
Be aware that light can cause colors to look different, especially with photos. We do not offer discounts or refunds if the exact shade of color is not achieved or if a variation occurs due to color differences under natural, fluorescent, low light, etc. We will do our best to match any color inspirations we are given, but we are humans, not a computer with a paint mixing machine. We know color theory and apply this knowledge to matching colors as close as we can and building beautiful pallets.
DESIGN INSPIRATIONS:
For custom orders, please provide images and detailed descriptions of shapes, designs, colors, characters, and any details you would like to influence your cookies. We will not directly copy another cookier's work. We will pull our own creativity to make you something truly unique to elevate your experience.
For pre-sales, no variations can be made outside of the available options.
We will not refund orders because we did not copy another artist's designs exactly. Photo inspirations provided are just that- inspirations. We work hard to make your order unique for your special event and will not directly copy another cookier's work.
MARKETING:
AlyKat's Bakery respects the privacy of all of our clients. We will not disclose the identity of clients without permission. We do reserve the right to all photos & videos of baked goods to use on our social media platforms and for other marketing materials.
AlyKat's Bakery reserves the right to deny any order or change request for any reason.
